ABOUT

Meet Barbara

I’m Barbara Drummond, a lifelong Mobilian, a dedicated public servant, and someone who has spent my career fighting for the people of this great city. I’ve always believed that leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about service. That belief has guided me throughout my time as State Representative for Alabama House District 103, where I’ve worked to expand economic opportunities, invest in public education, and ensure that every family has access to quality healthcare. Now, I’m ready to bring that same commitment to City Hall as your Mayor.

Meet Barbara Drummond

I’m Barbara Drummond, a lifelong Mobilian, a dedicated public servant, and someone who has spent my career fighting for the people of this great city. I’ve always believed that leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about service. That belief has guided me throughout my time as State Representative for Alabama House District 103, where I’ve worked to expand economic opportunities, invest in public education, and ensure that every family has access to quality healthcare. Now, I’m ready to bring that same commitment to City Hall as your Mayor.

My journey in public service started long before I was elected to the Alabama Legislature. I’ve had the privilege of serving Mobile in many capacities—first as Public Affairs Director for Mobile County, then as Executive Director of Administrative Services and Community Affairs for the City of Mobile. I’ve worked side by side with community leaders to strengthen our neighborhoods, improve city services, and fight for the resources our families and businesses need to succeed.

Since being elected to the Alabama House in 2014, I’ve fought to increase funding for our public schools, expand access to healthcare, and invest in job training programs that put people on the path to good-paying careers. As Chair of the Alabama House Democratic Caucus, I’ve been a strong voice for working families, small businesses, and communities that have been overlooked for far too long.

I’m running for Mayor because I believe Mobile’s best days are ahead of us—but only if we have leadership that’s willing to fight for every neighborhood, not just a select few. I want to build a city that works for everyone—where our streets are safe, our economy is strong, and every family has the opportunity to thrive.

I love this city, and I believe in its future. With bold, experienced leadership, we can move Mobile forward together. I can’t wait to share more about my vision for this campaign, and I’d love to have you join me on this journey.

Let’s build the Mobile we all deserve—together.
